I DO SHIP WORLDWIDE!!!
Why So Strict For Canadian Moochers? By Canada Post's rules, it is officially cheaper for me to ship to the USA than within Canada.
I used to send slim paperbacks as "lettermail", but I've been very firmly told that this is not allowed. Lettermail cannot be used for "goods or items of value", and I've been told that even a single book is a "good" and has value.
So, even for a single paperback, the cheapest shipping method within Canada is Xpresspost, and it costs me ten bucks, earning me a single point for future mooches.
Thus, Canadians must mooch at least three books.
For USA, however, a single book can go as "small packet surface" and cost me about $5.50, earning me 3 points for future mooches.
Thus, Americans are welcome to mooch a single paperback book. (Or a hardcover book plus at least one more book.)
Other countries can be similarly shipped via "small packet surface", but that's slow (by boat). For "small packet air", it costs me a bit more. So for about $9.00 I can ship a book to Sweden by airmail and earn 3 points for future mooches.
Thus, other countries are asked to mooch at least two books.
Turnaround Times I've never taken more than about 15 days to ship, so go ahead and ask if there's something you like.
Smooch You're from Canada and I've only got one book that you need? If you can't find more books that you like, and there's one book that you've just got to have, please smooch me some points in lieu of requesting any extra books.
