Poetry. Pure poetry. This is a intelligent and deep thinking coming of age story as well as a discussion of race relations, poverty and the struggle to be free, and a young man looking for big solutions for himself and his community, instead finding answers in small moments. The writing is lyrical, superb, completely unexpected. It reads like a novel, one which is difficult to stop reading. I highly recommend you read it. Emma
