Reviews:
Alyce (USA: MO) (2007/03/12): M.C. Beaton is a delight to read. His characters seem to be alive and jump off the page, especially Hamish, the sherrif/detective. This is one in a long line of a series of this charter, but you can pick up any one of the books and start from there. In other words, you do not have to start with the first book and read in them in order to know what is going on.
Marilou (USA: LA) (2010/02/07): I like all the Hamish Macbeth books - always a fun read.
