Reviews: Selina (USA: KY) (2006/08/19):
A good book by Koontz. More funny than frightening. An enjoyable read.

Dee (USA: NM) (2007/09/10):
Sometimes I find Koontz a little to far out there, but this book was the best Koontz book I have ever read. I would highly recommend it to all Koontz fans, and even to those who find Koontz just a little too bizarre. A great read!

SONIC (Japan) (2008/06/03):
An enchanted read, as the book promises. It was difficult to predict any of the outcomes. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although at times it was a little far-fetched.

WelshHelen (United Kingdom) (2009/01/16):
I thoroughly enjoyed this book - loved the characters of Jimmy and Lorrie, in fact, I loved his whole family. As others have said, I was surprised at the humour but it wasn't out-of-place and even managed to make the tense moments even more nail-biting. Admittedly, some of the situations bordered on the ridiculous but I could forgive that because it was such a fun read :-)

CheriePie (USA: CA) (2009/03/23):
Wow! This book blew me away. One of the best Koontz book I've read to date, and I thought Odd Thomas would be a tough act to follow.

Great character development, suspense, the kind of book I didn't want to put down. At times, I was so anxious to know how a particular situation would turn out that I'd find myself skipping ahead a couple of chapters, and then immediately scolding myself for doing so. Screw going to bed! I must read a few more chapters so I can see how this part turns out! LOL

Though it contained plenty of suspense, it was also a love story in a sense, not a romance, but so many parts of the book, and particularly the end, gave me the warm fuzzies--the kind that bring tears to your eyes. I guess touching is the right word, as the story touched me on so many levels. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it held me in thrall. An excellent read indeed!
