Michael Zinck (Canada) (2007/05/20): This is a well written book and will appeal to those who enjoy the P.D. James style of writing. I find her writing style very detailed with every thought and action encapsulated in the text. Overall her writing is not one I enjoy, I like to see the story keep moving and during parts of this book I kept thinking it was like a Harlequin Romance. I really wanted to know more about the Quill, the supposed protagonist, but they are just a sideline in the story. Michael
Yvonne (USA: VA) (2009/07/07): I loved this book! Terraforming had worked wonders on many worlds for eager colonists ready to leave an over-crowded Earth. But an innocent mistake was made, dooming the 1st colonists on every world. Shipsful of people were not permitted to return to Earth or the other colonies in-system for fear of some sort of contagion and not allowed to dock at the stations already teeming with waiting colonists. What to do? It takes until the 3rd generation after the tragedy for it to be solved and what a great story that is!! Don't miss it!
